CITY OF BROOKLYN, OHIO RESOLUTION NO. 2025 —- 12 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Van Kirk, Grodoh, Arees, (oyle, Celcherts Mosley, dorow sia , Janskt A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO ADVERTISE FOR STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS FROM FIRMS TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT RISK SERVICES FOR THE RECREATION FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS (NATATORIUM UPGRADES) PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, pursuant to R.C. 153.503 and O.A.C. 153:1-6-01, the City of Brooklyn wishes to advertise for statements of qualifications from firms to provide construction manager at risk services for the Recreation Facility Improvements (Natatorium Upgrades) Project; now, therefore NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Director of Finance be, and he hereby is, authorized to advertise for statements of qualifications from firms to provide construction manager at risk services for the Recreation Facility Improvements (Natatorium Upgrades) Project. SECTION 2. That all former legislation or parts herein conflicting or inconsistent with the provisions of this Resolution, or any part hereof, are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. That it is found and determined that all formal actions of the Council of the City of Brooklyn concerning and relating to the adoption of this Resolution were adopted in an open meeting of such body, and that all deliberations of the Council of the City of Brooklyn and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including R.C. 121.22. SECTION 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare. The reason for the emergency is the need to proceed with the timely construction of the Recreation Facility Improvements (Natatorium Upgrades) Project; therefore, the Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption, or otherwise after the earliest period allowed by law.
