Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance The regular meeting of Brunswick City Council was called to order by
Mayor Ron Falconi at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Complex.
Roll Call of Members showed the following Council Members present: Nicholas Hanek, Brandon Lambert,
Michael Abella Jr., Keith Kuczma, Joseph Delsanter, Tim Smith, Kristy Piper.
Others Present: Mayor Ron Falconi, City Manager/Safety Director Carl DeForest, Law Director Ken Fisher,

City Manager's Report Mr. DeForest noted that Issue Number 7 on the May 2 ballot is a City-sponsored
issue to raise 12 million dollars over a 20-year span. This is to build a centralized fire station at 1094
Hadcock Road. Information has been posted on the City's website that includes answers to frequently
asked questions. The City's website is: www.brunswick.oh.us If residents have further questions, they can
contact the City Manager's office at 330-558-6826. Both the Fire Chief and Assistant Fire Chief will also be
available to answer questions and provide tours. Tours have been scheduled for every Saturday in April
from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. They will also be available to attend meetings to provide insight and share
information.
The DEA's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is scheduled nationwide on Saturday, April 22, from 10
a.m. to 2 p.m. Take Back Day is every day of the year in Brunswick. The Brunswick Division of Police has a
large box inside the front door to the immediate right, where residents are encouraged to place their
outdated prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
Mr. DeForest reminded residents that the tax season was coming up. The Brunswick City Hall Tax Office is
open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally, they will be open Saturday, April 1,
from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday, April 15, from 9 am. to 1 p.m.
On Saturday, April 15 at noon, there will be a City park clean-up and tree planting at Pepperwood
Park. Residents and their children are encouraged to come to the park and help with the clean-up and
planting of trees.

New Business Mr. Delsanter remarked that he was the Vice Mayor at the time Tri-C was established in the
City. He mentioned that it was an undertaking from Tri-C to make an investment outside of their county
lines. This investment has paid itself off many times in the Brunswick community and in northern Medina
County. He explained that Tri-C provides the opportunity to earn an associate's degree and to work toward
a bachelor's degree.
Mr. Delsanter noted that Michael Esber had passed away. Mr. Esber was a Trustee in Brunswick Hills
Township and for decades was the owner of Michael's Mini Mart on Pearl Road in Brunswick. He described
Mr. Esber as kind, tolerant, and of good character. Mr. Delsanter went on to say that the community had
lost a good friend and partner. He offered his condolences to Michael Esber's family.
A new liquor permit request from Market 42 Spirits LLC, at 2099 Pearl Road, Brunswick, OH 44212:
Mr. DeForest said that there were no objections from the Administration.
