City Manager's Report Carl DeForest announced the closing of the lake at North Park due to a year-long
dredging project. This project received federal government funding. He noted that there has been a
decrease in the water quality and the depth of the lake. Eventually, the entire park will be closed. The lake
will slowly be drained. The fish were rescued. He asked for everyone's patience as this project would take
approximately one year to complete. Another sledding hill will be erected on the north side of the lake.

Mr. DeForest welcomed the Homes not Highways group that was in attendance at the meeting and thanked
them for their dedication. Mr. DeForest wished everyone a happy and safe new year.

New Business Nicholas Hanek informed that he was reappointed as the Vice Mayor of Council for the
upcoming term. Mr. Hanek looked forward to working with Council for the betterment of the City in
conjunction with the Administration and citizens.

Mr. Hanek revealed that he was appreciative of all the Homes not Highways citizens that were in attendance
at the meeting. Council will continue to stand alongside them to fight what is an unjust imposition on the
City of Brunswick and the residents of Strongsville and Brunswick. He concluded by wishing everyone a
happy new year.

Kristy Piper reminded everyone that it is Pack the Food Pantry month. She noted that there are bins located
at the City Hall entrance where donations are collected.

Tim Smith explained that the fishing Derby will not be able to take place at North Park this year.
Mr. Delsanter responded that Brunswick Lake would be a possibility. Mr. Smith's concern was that the
