from the bank to buy gift cards. No Police Department within the United States will accept gift cards for
bonds.

On March 10, to coincide with the time change, residents are encouraged to check their smoke detectors
and replace the batteries. New smoke detectors can be obtained through the Division of Fire. There were
four fires this year, which included two that did not have smoke detectors. The Division of Fire will supply
free smoke detectors and install them with batteries. He reminded that the smoke detectors are not
provided based on income.

Flags that are torn and tattered can be properly disposed of at City Hall in a collection box. They will be
disposed of respectfully twice a year in a ceremony at the VFW on South Carpenter.

meets with leaders in the community to work toward reaching the $75,000 fundraising goal for blood cancer
research. This program allows students to step outside their comfort zone and develop leadership and
communication skills while working towards an important cause that affects people within their community.

Teddy Bickley (2826 Benjamin Drive) revealed that he is a co-candidate of their team, Brunswick for a
Brighter Future. They are entering their sixth week of the campaign and are amazed by the support of the
Brunswick community. He believes that their goal of $75,0000 is within reach. They need to receive
additional support from the business leaders within the community to reach the next level.

Council Meeting. He went on to compliment the Brunswick High School students for stepping up and
showing leadership in the community. He was proud of their excellent speaking skills and saw them as

speaking skills. He also acknowledged the Homes not Highways group and explained that Council and the
Administration are still working on the interstate issue. Mr. Lambert informed that an impromptu town hall
meeting was held online which involved numerous Brunswick residents over a two-hour period in which
illuminating and amazing feedback was received.

Mr. Delsanter told the students that they were the future and gave him hope. He relayed that his brother
was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 3. He remembers the pain his parents endured, the lack of
support, and the sporadic research that was available. Thankfully, his brother was able to receive
experimental and unique treatments that were successful. Mr. Delsanter commented that he was proud of
the students and would post information on his Facebook page.

Mrs. Piper stated that the students showed the journey of a Blue Devil with their communication
