Open Forum Adam Hymes (4259 Sleepy Hollow Road) declared his approval of the City's recommendation
for the new baseball program in Brunswick. He noted that the goal of the program was to create a good and
affordable program. Unfortunately, due to legal difficulties, Mr. Hymes had to remove himself from
leadership of the organization. He went on to say that he was excited about the individuals Dom DePompei
had chosen to lead the program. Mr. Hymes expressed that Mr. DePompei was well qualified for the job.

Mary Weinhauer/Jason Niedermeyer (4686 Forest Grove Drive) thanked everyone for the opportunity to
speak. Ms. Weinhauer was grateful for the resolution to support Brunswick City Schools renewal levy. She
explained that the renewal levy will be on the ballot on November 5. It fs a 3.2 million dollar per year levy
that residents are already paying. This levy has a 12.5% tax credit associated with it. Residents can view
their tax bill online, which includes line items that add up to a 12.5% discount. This will be the last
opportunity taxpayers have to approve this levy before it ceases to exist. She encouraged residents to reach
out with any questions regarding the levy.
Unfinished Business Mr. Delsanter explained that he sponsored the resolution for the school tax levy to
amplify the benefit to the community. This levy provides funds to pay those who work in the school system
for all the services, safety, and other benefits the city is required to offer.

Mr. Smith reflected that he had worked with Economic Development off and on for 20 years. During that
time, business owners and developers frequently asked him about the levies. The school levies and
education are very important for the community to move forward.
