Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance The regular meeting of Brunswick City Council was called to order by Mayor
Ron Falconi at 7:03 p.m. at the Municipal Complex.
Roll Call of Members showed the following Council Members present: Brandon Lambert, Michael Abella
Jr., Keith Kuczma, Joseph Delsanter, Tim Smith, Kristy Piper.
Others Present: Mayor Ron Falconi, City Manager/Safety Director Carl DeForest, Law Director Dennis Nevar,
Clerk of Council Laura Timura.
Joseph Oelsanter moved to excuse Nicholas Hanek for just cause, seconded by Kristy Piper. Roll Call -
Ayes - 6, Brandon Lambert, Michael Abella Jr., Keith Kuczma, Joseph Delsanter, Tim Smith, Kristy Piper.

Approval of Regular Council Meeting Minutes dated May 13, 2024. Joseph Delsanter moved to approve the

Mayor's Report:
Proclamation in recognition of Youth Virtues, Valor, and Vision Award recipient Collin Grossenbaugh:
Mayor Falconi presented a proclamation to Collin Grossenbaugh in recognition of his achievement and for
exemplifying discipleship in service to others.
Motion to approve Mayor's recommendation to reappoint Hope Zakany and Jesse Knight to the Juvenile
Diversion Board:
Joseph Delsanter moved to reappoint Hope Zakany and Jessie Knight to the Juvenile Diversion Board,
seconded by Tim Smith. Roll Call - Ayes - 6, Brandon Lambert, Michael Abella Jr., Keith Kuczma, Joseph

Mayor's Update:
Mayor Falconi revealed that he received a letter along with a City of Brunswick commemorative plate from
Bridget Rohde in Steubenville, Ohio. She had discovered the plate while cleaning out her mother-in-law's
home. He then read the letter he had sent to her.
Clerk of Council's Report Clerk of Council Laura Timura stated there would not be a May 27, 2024, Council
Meeting due to Memorial Day.

City Manager's Report Mr. DeForest announced that a Memorial Day program would be held at 9 a.m. on
May 27 at Brunswick Middle School. City Hall and the Recreation Center will be closed on Monday, May 27
in observance of Memorial Day.
Open Forum There was none.
Unfinished Business Mr. Smith reported that the Optimist Club had a very successful Fishing Derby at
Brunswick lake. Some children caught one or two fish and others over ten fish. The weather was beautiful
and approximately $200 worth of prizes were given to the participants.
New Business There was none.
