Mr. Hanek informed Resolutions 68-2025 and 69-2025 were related to the acquisition of real property on
Grafton and North Carpenter. This would result in the first new park in the City within the last 22
years. Council and the Administration were very proud to have the ability to add to the City's parks. He noted
that there was a tremendous need for baseball and softball fields in the community. Many were lost due to
adjustments the schools made to their properties. The goal would be to enhance the neighborhood and work
through the process, including addressing the need for parking.

 leadership and management skills.
Open Forum Jennifer Scibana (3022 Grafton Road) felt the current baseball field situation was unacceptable
and embarrassing. She relayed that the bathrooms were dangerous and a mess. After calling Parks and
Recreation, she was told that the fields were being taken over by an organization. Ms. Scibana explained that
the travel team could not find a place to practice and noted that they were not allowed to use Pumpkin Ridge
Park. She cited that some of the home games were played in Seven Hills and Brecksville, because there was
not a park available to them in Brunswick. Her hope was that a solution could be derived and that none of
the parks would be shut down.
