1 CITY OF WESTLAKE, OHIO 2 ORDINANCE NO. 2026-11: 3 4 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO 5 PURCHASE TWO NEW MODEL YEAR FORD F250 6 4X4 PICK-UP TRUCKS WITH SELECTED OPTIONS 7 FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE 8 THROUGH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF 9 ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, AND DECLARING 10 AN EMERGENCY. 11 ______________________________________________________________________________ 12 13 WHEREAS, this Council, by Ordinance No. 1987-50, authorized the Mayor, under the 14 Ohio Cooperative Purchase Act, to purchase supplies, service equipment and materials, through 15 participation in State Contracts with the Ohio Department of Administrative Services; and 16 WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing has advised this Council that the City can 17 purchase two New Model Year Ford F250 4x4 Regular Cab Pick-up Trucks with selected options 18 needed for the Department of Public Service from the State of Ohio Cooperative Purchasing 19 Program, Ohio Buys Contract No. RS1023710, Item 21AT. 20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 21 WESTLAKE, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: 22 Section 1: That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to purchase two New Model 23 Year Ford F250 4x4 Regular Cab Pick-up Trucks with selected options from Cronin Ford North, 24 LLC needed for the Department of Public Service through the State of Ohio, Department of 25 Administrative Service – Office of Purchasing under the Ohio Cooperative Purchasing Act, Ohio 26 Buys Contract No. RS1023710, Item 21AT, at the price provided in accordance with the State of 27 Ohio Contracts as follows: 28 Qty. CITY OF WESTLAKE, OHIO ORDINANCE NO. 2026-11 PAGE 2 31 Section 2: That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby authorized and directed to 32 issue warrants of the City of Westlake for said vehicles with selected options to the supplier listed 33 in Section 1 above in a total amount not to exceed the sum of Ninety-One Thousand Dollars and 34 Zero Cents ($91,000.00). 35 Section 3: That it is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council 36 concerning and relating to this legislation were adopted in an open meeting of this Council and 37 that all deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action 38 were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 39 10, Article XI of the Charter of the City of Westlake and Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. 40 Section 4: That this legislation is hereby declared to be an emergency measure 41 immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the 42 further reason that it is immediately necessary to provide for the efficiency and continuation of 43 services by the Department of Public Service, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote 44 of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately 45 upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. 46 47 Passed: ____________________________________ 48 David S.
