1 CITY OF WESTLAKE, OHIO 2 ORDINANCE NO. 2026-16: 3 AN ORDINANCE CONSIDERING 4 A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 5 FOR A SALON USE. 6 ______________________________________________________________________________ 7 8 WHEREAS, Angela Tempest, of Joy Beauty Salon, has submitted a request to the Council 9 of the City of Westlake, Ohio, for a Conditional Use Permit for the property at 25125 Detroit Road, 10 Suite 125, Westlake, Ohio (Permanent Parcel No. 213-24-311), for a salon use; and 11 WHEREAS, after receiving the current application, the application was sent to the 12 Planning Commission for its review, and the Planning Commission recommended approval of the 13 Conditional Use Permit with certain conditions; and 14 WHEREAS, this Council provided and held a Public Hearing on the application for the 15 Conditional Use Permit. 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 17 WESTLAKE, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: 18 Section 1: That this Council does hereby approve the application of Joy Beauty Salon 19 for a Conditional Use Permit for the property at 25125 Detroit Road, Suite 125, Westlake, Ohio 20 (Permanent Parcel No. 213-24-311), for a salon use, which said use is to be conditioned only within 21 the areas located within the address described in this Ordinance. 22 Section 2: That the approval of this Conditional Use Permit shall become null and void 23 if the operation of the conditional use permit is contrary to law and/or the conditions of this 24 Ordinance and the Conditional Use Permit shall not be transferable to another location without a 25 new Conditional Use Permit being obtained but would be transferable at the location described in 26 Section 1 hereof to a new owner subject to all the terms and conditions thereof. 27 Section 3: That it is found and determined that all formation actions of this Council 28 concerning and relating to this legislation were adopted in an open meeting of this Council and 29 that all deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action 30 were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 31 10, Article XI of the Charter of the City of Westlake and Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. 32 Section 4: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the 33 earliest period allowed by law. 34 CITY OF WESTLAKE, OHIO ORDINANCE NO. 2026-16 PAGE 2 First Reading: _____________ 35 36 Referred to Planning Commission: __________________ 37 Report of Planning Commission on: _______________________ 38 The Planning Commission recommended to Council that this Ordinance be: 39 40 Approved: _____ Disapproved: _____ 41 42 Second Reading: _______________ 43 44 Public Hearing: ________________ 45 46 Passed: ____________________________________ 47 David S.
