1 CITY OF WESTLAKE, OHIO 2 ORDINANCE NO. 2026-24: 3 4 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR 5 TO PURCHASE ONE (1) 2025 MODEL YEAR 6 FORD F150 PICK-UP TRUCK WITH SELECTED 7 OPTIONS AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT 8 THROUGH THE OPEN MARKET, AND 9 DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. 10 ______________________________________________________________________________ 11 12 WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Director of Purchasing desire to purchase one (1) 2025 13 Model Year Ford F150 Pick-up Truck with selected options and safety equipment; and 14 WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing has advised this Council that the City can 15 purchase one (1) 2025 Model Year Ford F-150 Pick-up Truck with selected options for the Police 16 Department from John Lance Ford LLC/Autonation Ford Westlake and associated safety 17 equipment from a vendor to be determined through the open market. 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 19 WESTLAKE, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: 20 Section 1: That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to purchase one (1) 2025 Model 21 Year Ford F150 Pick-up Truck with selected options needed for the Police Department from John 22 Lance Ford LLC/Autonation Ford Westlake and associated safety equipment through the open 23 market as follows: 24 Qty. Description Dealer Vehicle Unit Cost 1 2025 Model Year Ford F150 Pick-up Truck with Selected Options John Lance Ford LLC/Autonation Ford Westlake 23775 Center Ridge Road Westlake, Ohio 44145 $53,307.77 1 Police Safety Equipment TBD $ 7,500.00 Total Vehicle Acquisition: $60,807.77 25 CITY OF WESTLAKE, OHIO ORDINANCE NO. 2026-24 PAGE 2 Section 2: That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby authorized and directed to 26 issue warrants of the City of Westlake for said vehicle with safety equipment to the suppliers listed 27 in Section 1 above in a total amount not to exceed the sum of Sixty-One Thousand Dollars and 28 Zero Cents ($61,000.00). 29 Section 3: That it is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council 30 concerning and relating to this legislation were adopted in an open meeting of this Council and 31 that all deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action 32 were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 33 10, Article XI of the Charter of the City of Westlake and Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. 34 Section 4: That this legislation is hereby declared to be an emergency measure 35 immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the 36 further reason that it is immediately necessary to provide for the efficiency and continuation of 37 services by the Police Department, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- 38 thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its 39 passage and approval by the Mayor. 40 41 Passed: ____________________________________ 42 David S.
