1 CITY OF WESTLAKE, OHIO 2 ORDINANCE NO. 2026-35: 3 REDLINED 4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION 5 1235.02(b) AS TO REQUESTS TO CHANGE 6 THE ZONING CODE. 7 ______________________________________________________________________________ 8 9 WHEREAS, the Planning, Zoning and Legislative Committee of Council has 10 recommended that Subsection 1235.02(b) of the Zoning Code be amended as to requests to change 11 the Zoning Code; and 12 WHEREAS, after careful consideration, the Planning Commission of the City of 13 Westlake, on the day of , 2026, recommended approval of the change to the 14 Code herein specified as requested by this Council; and 15 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Charter of the City of Westlake, Article III, Section 13, 16 Council held a public hearing concerning the proposed changes. 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 18 WESTLAKE, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: 19 Section 1: That Subsection 1235.02(b) entitled “ZONING REQUEST” “Referral to 20 Planning, Zoning and Legislative Committee of Council” of Chapter 1235 entitled “Amending 21 Procedures” of the Zoning Code be and the same is hereby amended and as amended shall read as 22 follows: 23 “1235.02 ZONING REQUEST. 24 (b) Referral to Planning, Zoning and Legislative Committee of Council. Within 25 thirty days, Ssuch application shall be referred to the Planning, and Zoning and 26 Legislative Committee of Council for a recommendation to Council for action 27 within thirty days.
