1 CITY OF WESTLAKE, OHIO 2 ORDINANCE NO. 2026-41: 3 4 REDLINED 5 AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING CHAPTER 6 141 “ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT” OF 7 PART ONE “ADMINISTRATIVE CODE” WITH 8 NEW SECTION 141.12. 9 ______________________________________________________________________________ 10 11 WHEREAS, the Mayor and Director of Public Service recommend that Chapter 141 12 “Administrative Department” of Part One “Administrative Code” be supplemented to provide for 13 the creation of the position of HVAC Technician. 14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 15 WESTLAKE, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: 16 Section 1: That Chapter 141 “Administrative Department” be and the same is hereby 17 supplemented with new Section 141.12 “HVAC TECHNICIAN”, which as enacted shall read as 18 follows: 19 “141.12 HVAC TECHNICIAN. 20 21 The Mayor shall have the authority to hire an HVAC Technician to meet the 22 needs of the City. The HVAC Technician shall work the number of hours as 23 designated by the Mayor and it may be either a part-time or full-time position 24 as determined by the Mayor and appropriated by Council. A part-time HVAC 25 Technician shall be entitled to the benefits granted other part-time employees 26 as set forth in Section 141.04(c).” 27 28 Section 2: That any Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby 29 repealed. 30 Section 3: That it is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council 31 concerning and relating to this legislation were adopted in an open meeting of this Council and 32 that all deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action 33 were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 34 10, Article XI of the Charter of the City of Westlake and Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. 35 CITY OF WESTLAKE, OHIO ORDINANCE NO. 2026-41 PAGE 2 Section 4: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the 36 earliest period allowed by law. 37 First Reading: _____________________ 38 Second Reading: ___________________ 39 Passed: ______________________________ ______________________________ 40 David S.
