1 CITY OF WESTLAKE, OHIO 2 ORDINANCE NO. 2026-43: 3 4 AN ORDINANCE TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO 5 THE AERO-MARK COMPANY, LLC FOR THE 6 PAVEMENT MARKINGS OF CERTAIN STREETS 7 AND HIGHWAYS WITHIN THE CITY OF 8 WESTLAKE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. 9 ______________________________________________________________________________ 10 11 WHEREAS, the City of Westlake received one (1) bid proposal for the pavement 12 markings of certain streets and highways within the City of Westlake; and 13 WHEREAS, Council has determined that the bid proposal of The Aero-Mark Company, 14 LLC is the lowest, best and most responsive bid proposal; and 15 WHEREAS, Council desires to accept said bid proposal. 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 17 WESTLAKE, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: 18 Section 1: That Council accepts the bid of The Aero-Mark Company, LLC for the 19 pavement markings of certain streets and highways within the City of Westlake. 20 Section 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement 21 with The Aero-Mark Company, LLC for said services in accordance with the specifications, prices, 22 and contract documents on file with the Director of Purchasing. 23 Section 3: That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby authorized and directed to 24 issue warrants of the City of Westlake to The Aero-Mark Company, LLC in an amount not to 25 exceed Three Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($340,000.00) upon the approval 26 of the Mayor and the Director of Purchasing. 27 Section 4: That it is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council 28 concerning and relating to this legislation were adopted in an open meeting of this Council and 29 that all deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action 30 were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 31 10, Article XI of the Charter of the City of Westlake and Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. 32 CITY OF WESTLAKE, OHIO ORDINANCE NO. 2026-43 PAGE 2 Section 5: That this legislation is hereby declared to be an emergency measure 33 immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the 34 further reason that it is immediately necessary to begin the 2026 pavement markings, and further 35 provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall 36 take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. 37 38 Passed: ____________________________________ 39 David S.
