1 CITY OF WESTLAKE, OHIO 2 ORDINANCE NO. 2026-8: 3 REDLINED 4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION 5 1315.02(k)(5)-(7) OF CHAPTER 1315 6 ENTITLED “FEES FOR PERMITS AND 7 INSPECTIONS” OF THE BUILDING CODE. 8 ______________________________________________________________________________ 9 10 WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Director of Inspections have recommended that Council 11 amend Chapter 1315 entitled “FEES FOR PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS” of the Building Code 12 with new fee rates for architectural reviews. 13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 14 WESTLAKE, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: 15 Section 1: That Subsection 1315.02(k)(5)-(7) of Chapter 1315 entitled “FEES FOR 16 PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS” be and the same is hereby amended and as amended shall read 17 as follows: 18 “1315.02 BUILDING CONSTRUCTION, ADDITION OR ALTERNATION FEES. 19 (k) Fees for examination of plans and specifications by Building Department and/or 20 City Architect: The following fees shall be charged in addition to any other fees 21 set forth in this chapter: 22 (5) Kitchen Exhaust Hoods and Related Fire Suppression Systems as governed by the OBC, per hour $110.00 125.00 (6) Fees in subsections (l)(1) and (2) hereof are for the first examination of plans including addendums to the approval or the correction letter. Should a resubmission of plans be required, the fee for re-examination shall be based on an hourly rate or portion thereof $110.00 125.00 (7) The fee for preliminary plan examination, if requested in writing by the applicant, shall be based on an hourly rate or portion thereof $110.00 125.00” 23 Section 2: That any Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby 24 repealed. 25 CITY OF WESTLAKE, OHIO ORDINANCE NO. 2026-8 PAGE 2 Section 3: That it is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council 26 concerning and relating to this legislation were adopted in an open meeting of this Council and 27 that all deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action 28 were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 29 10, Article XI of the Charter of the City of Westlake and Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. 30 Section 4: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the 31 earliest period allowed by law. 32 First Reading: ______________ 33 Second Reading: ______________ 34 35 36 Passed: ____________________________________ 37 David S.
