PART I  GENERAL INFORMATION 
 
Abercrombie & Fitch sign plan and storefront, 175 Crocker Park Blvd., PP# 21124302, Ward 5 
 
PART II  
PROJECT SUMMARY 
 
The purpose of this request is to remodel the former Arhaus store into two separate tenant spaces, accommodating 
(the subject of this report) and Hollister (also under consideration at this meeting). Abercrombie & Fitch will 
occupy the new tenant space fronting Crocker Park Boulevard, situated between the planned Hollister space and 
the pedestrian alley (a corner store).  
 
Storefront 
 
• 
The existing storefront facing Crocker Park Boulevard will be removed and replaced with: 
o Entry feature:  
 
Clad in aluminum composite material (ACM) in “Classic Black” finish to contrast with 
the main wall material. 
 
Metal canopy projecting 4’ feet from the wall, 
providing protection and a location for 
signage. 
 
Wall sconces in matching black aluminum 
flank the entry and provide accent lighting. 
o Storefront system:  
 
Black ACM panels above and below that 
aluminum storefront system that is in a 
matching color. 
o Main wall:  
 
Metal slat wall of extruded aluminum fine texture powder coating in flat matte tan color 
shown at right.  
• 
The existing storefront facing the alley remains unchanged, except for a small area that wraps the corner 
with the same metal slat wall material, terminating at the first window bay. 
• 
The proposed design complies with the Crocker Park Mixed Use Area Design Guidelines, which permit 
contemporary treatments. 
Sign Plan 
 
• 
A variety of signage types, including a canopy sign, 
two projecting blade signs, window decals and a 
banner sign to advertise the business and enhance the 
visual interest of the storefront. 
• 
Canopy sign (24.7 SF): 18” high, face-lit interior 
illuminated channel letters on raceway with white 
acrylic faces overlayed in vinyl for black day color 
and white night color. All other materials of 
aluminum in black satin finish to match the canopy. 
• 
Projecting blade sign (2 x 6 SF = 12 SF): aluminum 
face blade sign in satin black to match canopy sign 
and entry features, featuring push-thru illuminated 
acrylic letters in white. 
• 
Window decal - front elevation (8 x 1 SF = 8SF): 
6.63” x 19.63” two per window bay and one on each 
door. Window decal - alley elevation   (7 x 1 SF =

7SF): two per each of the three window bays, with an additional decal reserved for a future exit door 
installation. 
• 
Banner (25 SF): 2.5’ x 10’, projecting less than 42” from the wall and less than 50 SF total area.

Pursuant to the Crocker Park Master Sign Criteria Sections 3.1, 6.1, and 11.1, the proposed signs of such 
size, location and design are permitted and no waivers are necessary.  
• 
Moreover, the total sign area remains comfortably within the allowable limits, ensuring the tenant is not 
over-signed. 
 
PART III 
DEPARTMENTAL REVIEWS  
 
Fire 
1. New and existing buildings shall have approved address numbers, building numbers or approved building 
identification placed in a position that is plainly legible and visible from the street or road fronting the property. These 
numbers shall contrast with their background. Address numbers shall be Arabic numerals or alphabet letters, Numbers 
shall be a minimum of 4 inches (102mm) high with a minimum stroke width of 0.5 inch (12.7 mm). 2017 OFC Section 
505.1 
2. A Knox Box (approved locking key box) is required to be installed in an approved location determined by the Fire 
Department and 2017 OFC Section 506.1. Order the box at www.knoxbox.com. Minimum requirement for existing 
structures is the Surface Mount, Model 
3261. For new construction the flushed mounted Recessed Box, Model 3270, plus the mounting kit Model 3290, is 
recommended. Contact the Westlake Fire Department at 440-835-6422 for more information or to determine the 
approved location.
