MINUTES OF RULES & ORDINANCES COMMITTEE OCTOBER 20, 2025 EAST CONFERENCE ROOM Present: Councilmembers Steiner ( Chair), Marx, Evans Also Present: Chief Information Officer Coletta, Chief Assistant Law Director Swallow, Law Director Vargo, Councilmembers Strebig Call to Order: 6:00 p.m. Approval of the minutes of the May 15, 2023 meeting of the Rules & Ordinances Committee A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes without the necessity of a reading. All members voted in favor. Motion passed. Minutes approved. RESOLUTION 2025-53 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, adopting the City of Lakewood Cyber Security Policy. (referred to R& O 10/6/25) A motion was made to enter executive session for the purpose of considering details relative to the security arrangements and emergency response protocols for a public body or a public office. A roll call vote was conducted as follows: Yea: Steiner, Marx, Evans Motion passed. Rules & Ordinances Committee entered executive session at 6:01 p.m. Rules & Ordinances Committee exited executive session at 6:29 p.m. A motion was made and seconded to recommend Resolution 2025- 03 for adoption by Council.
