Choolaah Indian BBQ to Replace Taco Shoppe in Cleveland Clinic Food Court

A permit was filed to convert a former Taco Shoppe into a Choolaah Indian Barbeque restaurant inside the Cleveland Clinic's food court at 9500 Euclid Avenue.
Choolaah Indian BBQ is coming to Cleveland Clinic. A permit filed April 10, 2026 describes the conversion of a former Taco Shoppe space into a Choolaah Indian Barbeque within the medical campus food court at 9500 Euclid Avenue.
The $75,000 interior remodel is designed by Brian Fabo of Fabo Architecture Inc. The project involves no structural changes, use changes, or site work — it's a straightforward restaurant buildout within the existing food court footprint.
Choolaah is a fast-casual Indian chain known for its open-flame grills and customizable bowls. The Cleveland Clinic campus, which anchors Ward 6's Fairfax neighborhood, serves tens of thousands of employees, patients, and visitors daily. Plans have been received and are under review.
