CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO.2026 -1 By: Mayor Jones A RESOL UTIONA UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF RECREA TION AND PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR THE SPRINGVALE BALLROOM ENTRANCE RENOVATION PROJECT, AS DETAILED IN SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. WHEREAS, the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement recommends that the City of North Olmsted advertise for bids to enter into a contract for construction services for the Springvale Ballroom Entrance Renovation Project; and WHEREAS, the project will include, among other improvements, removal of the current canopy and framework, removal of the west -facing shingled roof overhang and removal of the double doors; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement to advertise for bids for construction services for the Springvale Ballroom Entrance Renovation Project, as required by law, and to authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder for the same, following Board of Control approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION l: That the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for construction services for the Springvale Ballroom Entrance Renovation Project in accordance with the bid specifications now on file, and that following approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest date provided for by law.
