CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED 
RESOLUTION NO. 2023 - 9

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO ADVERTISE 
FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE NEW 
PAVEMENT MARKINGS TO VARIOUS STREETS AND LOCATIONS IN 
THE CITY, AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE, AND 
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD 
OF CONTROL, TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST 
AND BEST BIDDER. 
 
WHEREAS, various streets at various locations throughout the City require new 
pavement markings this year; and 
 
WHEREAS, the necessary specifications to competitively bid a street pavement markings 
contract this year have been prepared and are on file in the Division of Engineering; and 
 
 
WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the City Engineer to advertise for 
bids for the award of a contract to provide new pavement markings to various streets at various 
locations in the City, as set forth in the said specifications, and to further authorize the Mayor, 
following approval by the Board of Control, if necessary, to enter into a contract with the lowest 
and best bidder. 
 
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: 
 
SECTION 1:  That the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids 
for the award of a contract to provide new pavement markings to various streets at various 
locations in the City, as detailed in the specifications now on file in the Division of Engineering, 
and that further, the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control is hereby authorized to 
execute a contract on behalf of the City with the lowest and best bidder.  
 
SECTION 2:  That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the 
earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
