[2023-146 Fund CIC.pdf] CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2023 - 146 By: Mayor Jones A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO TRANSFER THE SUM OF SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($75,000.00) FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE NORTH OLMSTED COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT CORPORATION FOR GENERAL OPERATIONS AND TO FUND THE NORTH OLMSTED NEIGHBORHOOD BEAUTIFICATION PROGRAM, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted in 2022 authorized the formation of the North Olmsted Community Improvement Corporation to promote health, safety and general welfare of its residents and growth and development of business and industry within the City, and to advance and pursue such policy through the formation of a community improvement corporation; and WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Community Improvement Corporation thereafter entered into an Economic Development Agency Agreement with the City of North Olmsted to achieve the objectives of the newly-formed North Olmsted Community Improvement Corporation; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council and the Administration to transfer to the North Olmsted Community Improvement Corporation from the General Fund for its initial general operations the sum of $50,000.00 and further transfer the sum of $25,000.00 to fund the North Olmsted Neighborhood Beautification Program, to be administered by the North Olmsted Community Improvement Corporation NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to transfer to the North Olmsted Community Improvement Corporation the aggregate sum of seventy-five thousand ($75,000.00) for the following purposes: (1) for its initial general operations the sum of $50,000.00; (2) for initial funding for the North Olmsted Neighborhood Beautification Program the sum of $25,000.00.
