WHEREAS, Legal counsel for the Linda Sue Gregson Trust has informed the City of North Olmsted that the Oxcart Food Pantry is the recipient of a donation in the amount of $92,612.37; and WHEREAS, the Mayor requests that Council recognize and accept this generous donation from the Linda Sue Gregson Trust, pursuant to Section 131.06 of the Administrative Code, and join her expression of gratitude on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, the Oxcart Pantry and the entire community; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor’s acceptance of this donation in an amount over $1,000.00 with the sincerest appreciation of Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted authorizes the Mayor to accept a donation from the Linda Sue Gregson Trust in the amount of $92,612.37 to be used by the Oxcart Food Pantry and further authorizes the Mayor to execute any documentation necessary or appropriate to document receipt of such donation. SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council initiate, on behalf of this Council and the City of North Olmsted, to direct correspondence thanking the Trustee for their generous donation to the Oxcart Food Pantry. SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that the Oxcart Food Pantry may put this gift to immediate use; and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
