RESOLUTION NO. 2024 - 44

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC 
AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO SOLICIT STATEMENTS 
OF QUALIFICATIONS FOR ARCHITECTURAL FIRMS TO 
PERFORM 
AN 
HISTORIC 
PRESERVATION 
PLAN 
AND 
ARCHITECTURAL ASSESSMENT FOR THE OLD TOWN HALL 
PURSUANT TO SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR PROFESSIONAL 
QUALIFICATIONS 
STANDARDS 
FOR 
ARCHITECTURAL 
HISTORY. 
 
 
WHEREAS, the Director of Economic and Community Development has 
requested that this Council authorize him to use Chapter 112 of the North Olmsted 
Codified Ordinances, to implement an R.F.Q. process to select design professionals to 
perform an historic preservation plan and architectural assessment of Old Town Hall for 
purposes of restoration and improvement thereof; and 
 
WHEREAS, in accordance with the recommendation of the Director of Economic 
and Community Development, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director to 
use the R.F.Q. process to select appropriate design professionals to prepare the projects 
for public bid and, further, to authorize the Mayor to enter into contracts with the design 
professionals selected in the R.F.Q. process.  
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY 
OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: 
 
 
SECTION 1:  That the Director of Economic and Community Development be 
and he is authorized to implement the R.F.Q. process to select design professionals to 
perform an historic preservation plan and architectural assessment for Old Town Hall.  
 
 
SECTION 2: The Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, is 
authorized to enter into contracts with the professionals selected in the R.F.Q. process. 
Said professional services agreement shall be in such form as approved by the Director of 
Law, with only such terms and conditions as are not substantially adverse to the City. 
 
SECTION 3:  That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the 
earliest date provided for by law.
