Oberlin City Council Special Meeting Minutes | August 4, 2025 Special Meeting — 5:00 p.m.— Conference Room 2 A special meeting of the Oberlin City Council was held August 4, 2025, in Conference Room 2, located at 85 South Main Street. 1. Call Meeting to Order and Roll Call Roll Call was taken as follows: Meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Presiding Officer Eboni Johnson. Council Members: Present Absent Eboni A. Johnson — 0 Michael McFarlin _ O Joseph Waltzer = O Jessa D. New 4 O Ray English a QO Libni Lopez - O Kristin Peterson = 0 Others Present: Jon Clark, Interim City Manager/ Law Director Rosalind Watson, Human Resource Administrator/Assistant City Manager Belinda Anderson, Clerk of Council/City Treasurer (For Special meeting and Clerk portion only) Ian Coyle, Pracademic Partners Greg Holcomb City Manager 2. Consider a Motion not to Request a Hearing on the Application for the Issuance of a DS Liquor Permit by Taco Flavored Kisses for Premises Located at 19 West College Street. New and Waltzer recused themselves from the meeting. Law Director Clark provided the background and overview of the above stated matter. Adjourn into an Executive Session to Discuss the Appointment and Compensation of a City Manager and the Employment and Compensation of the Clerk of Council English, seconded by New moved to adjourn into executive session to discuss the appointment and compensation of the City Clerk, as well as the Employment and Compensation of the City Manager. The City Clerk was invited to participate in the portion of the session related to the Clerk’s position. For the City Manager discussion, the following individuals were invited to attend: Jon Clark, Law Director; Rosalind Watson, Human Resources Administrator; lan Coyle of Pracademic Partners, and City Manager finalist, Greg Holcomb. Roll Call: 7 Ayes 0 Nays Motion Carried English, seconded by Peterson, moved to adjourn the executive session and reconvene the special meeting at 7:35 p.m. Roll Call: 7 Ayes 0 Nays Motion Carried 4.
