OBERLIN CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING December 23, 2025 Minutes of the Oberlin City Council Special Meeting Held in Council Chambers, 36 S. Prospect Street, Oberlin, Ohio 44074 December 23, 2025 Special City Council Meeting — 8:30 a.m. ~ Connie Ponder Room Purpose: Discuss Liaison assignments, appointments to city boards and commissions, and address any additional items related to collaboration and overall efficiency, A special meeting of the Oberlin City Council was held on December 23, 2025, at the Oberlin Enrichment and Activity Center, located at 36 S. Prospect Street, Oberlin, Ohio. The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. by Presiding of Council Eboni Johnson for the above-stated purpose. The discussion covered the following key points: e Reviewed and finalized the Council Liaison assignments to be appointed at the January 5, 2026, Council meeting. e Reviewed and finalized 2026 City Council Board Appointments. e Discussed the designation of Jessa New to serve as the City Council designee for the Ohio Public Records Training. ¢ Discussed the transition of leadership for the 2026-2027 Council Term. e Reviewed remaining vacancies for city boards and commissions, which include the following. © Library Board of Trustees: One seat vacant City of Oberlin I , Printed on 1/6/2026 OBERLIN CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING December 23, 2025 o Civil Service Commission: the term end date for Susan Hiesser should be December 31, 2028 o Public Utilities Commission: One set Vacant e Discussed the Boards and Commissions Orientation scheduled for January 14, 2026.
