REGULAR MEETING MINUTES Village of Put-in-Bay Council Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 9:00 AM Village Town Hall *Live streaming of council meetings now available at www.villageofpib.com Mayor Berry called the meeting to order at 9:01 am. ACTION OF COUNCIL NEEDED: Biery moved to approve moving Village council meeting days from Tuesday to Friday starting in August. Second by Cerny. Cerny moved to approve a Hourly wage increase for Jake Justice in the amount of $2.00 for advancement in to Class 2 water operator, effective the next pay period. Second by Stephens. Market moved to approve a Hourly wage increase for Naomi Guerra in the amount of $1.00 effective the next pay period. Second by Sulesky. Koehler moved to approve a Hourly wage increase for Aaron Shaffer in the amount of $ .75 effective the next pay period. Second by Biery.

Market moved to approve Karen Goaziou pay rate increase to $25/hour effective the next pay period. Second by Stephens. Stephens moved for the $1.50 pay rate increase for David Fenstermaker, Ashley McMicheaux and Eric Seitz to coincide with their rank increase. Effective next pay period. Second by Cerny. Roll: Stephens; yes, Koehler; yes, Market; yes, Sulesky; yes, Biery; yes, Cerny; yes. Approve: 2.5% pay increase for full time village employees *Tabled Committee Reports: Stephens and Chief Kimble met to develop a safety plan for natural disasters. The most recent plan was done in 1999. Sulesky is working on a Request for Proposal for the Town Hall assessment and long term plan. Planning Commission is discussing the steps needed to have the Village be a Historical District. Koehler stated that he would like to see some sort of tribute to Pat Daily take place. Whether or not it is a street dedication or a side walk dedication. Village Administrator: Sent notices regarding the grass clipping ordinance and CCR out with billing this month. Notice of construction went out to East Point and Ibis residents. Market stated he has been receiving resident complaints about John Blanke’s vacant construction site. Cerny stated that work will be starting up again soon. Mayor Report: Is in receipt of parking and parking ticket fine reports from the Mayors Court clerk. There will be a restricted U-turn ordinance added to the Village code. Brought to attention that some small towns have their fire hydrants painted creatively. Might be a good idea for the island. Public Participation: Ryan Stoiber; Victory Woods/Frosty Bar Stated that he would hope council would not appeal the granting of his D7 liquor License for Sweet Siblings. Spoke about several different paid parking ideas he has that could help earn the Village more revenue; issuing day passes and enabling the ability to use apple or google pay. Dave Schaffer; 557 Catawba Ave Spoke on several items: ability to obtain the software used to track Air BnB’s in the Village; rental companies should be providing their customers with areas of paid parking and free parking; golf cart licensing compliance, and the increase of Resort tax. Biery moved for council to enter executive session to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official; and for the discussion of pending and imminent litigation; and for the sale of property.
