An emergency ordinance introduced May 7, 2026 (File 605-2026) would repeal every section of Chapter 604 of Cleveland's city code — which governs dogs that pose a threat to public safety — and replace it with six entirely new provisions.

Avon Council passed Ordinance 43-26 authorizing the issuance and sale of bond anticipation notes up to $3,000,000 to cover additional costs on the city's State Routes 254 and 83 improvement program — construction, widening, grading, drainage, and paving work plus related appurtenances on two of the city's busiest state highways.

Avon City Council passed Ordinance 37-26 as an emergency measure imposing a one-year temporary moratorium on all new data center development citywide, running through April 14, 2027. Council cited rising developer interest and said the city needs time to study state codes and draft comprehensive local regulations covering data-center land use, water, and power demand.

Berea City Council took third readings on April 20 for Ordinance 3-1 creating new Chapter 587 to regulate short-term residential rentals, and Ordinance 3-2 repealing and replacing Chapter 1331 on residential rental property permits as an emergency measure.
