A developer called L7 Group has submitted plans to Westlake for a new condominium development at 28820 Ranney Parkway called 'Westlake Flex Condos.' The project, designed by FOUND.design of Bay Village, went before Westlake's Planning Commission on April 29, 2026, and plan drawings were formally filed with the city on May 1, 2026.

Liberty Development Company is seeking a conditional use permit to build a 51,620 sf indoor volleyball and basketball facility on Viking Parkway. The Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval in March 2026.
